Happy new year... wut a way to start 2005

dear all,

the start of 2005 was flooded with footages of the tsunami & the aftermath, & the never ending survival stories. & it was a bleak morning too.

there was this really thick slab of cloud descending from the Korean peninsular, landing right above us in Kyushu. & it sent cold gust & snow, almost didnt wreak havoc in the otherwise perfect winter morning.

& hours after the first glimpse of sunshine 2005, i had to go to work. & i start to wonder why on earth does ppl in our dear ol lil beppu city want to hav french dinner so much. sooo much diners at the restaurant that i had blistered toes after the session. & i had to work the next 3 night shifts too.......

& there u go, how my year 2005 started.
sounds melancholy, not really. on the contrary, i m glad i hav sth to do on new year's eve other than to get wasted wif frens in all the food & drinks we can afford as we watch the two groups of singers slug it out in the "red & white competition" shout out. not that i dont enjoy the company of frens, however we all know that 4 years in a row proves too much for dear old me, & plus i m not really a big fan of japanese enka.

this year, we didnt hav the usual new year's eve gathering at AP house or mike's. cos most of us r either not in beppu(co, david, mike), unavailable cos of work(kalun & myself), got sick (KUNLUNG... how'd the hell did u get sick?! but hope u r getting better now) or cant wake up cos they partied too late the previous night (it means u, brother asaka...)

bla bla bla, we r all occupied. hope this is a good sign.
means we r moving on.
not stuck in a point there is no where to turn to but hav a gathering for the miserable & pathetic.

enough of me whining, better halt now or this chanting shall hav no end.

& last but not least, happy new year to all.... friends & foes, may u all fare better in 2005.
